To block specific foods and recipes from appearing in your meal plan, sign up for an account. Blocking a food will prevent the generator from suggesting it in the future, and you can undo blocked foods on the account page.
This overview of the generator's features will help you quickly build your ideal diet plan.
Find the calorie calculator by clicking "Not sure?" This helps you estimate your calorie and macronutrient needs based on your weight goals.
Keep in mind that this is just an estimation, and everyone is different. Follow the recommendation for a few weeks, and then modify your intake based on your progress. Not losing weight? Eat a bit less. Not gaining? Eat more.
You can regenerate an individual meal with this refresh button.
Or you can lock a meal. The next time you click "Generate!" the meal won't be changed.
Each food has a lock and refresh button too. You can also change the amounts or click and drag it to another meal. Hover over the food to see all the options.
Hovering over a recipe will show you a link to the recipe page. There, you can personalize the recipe with your own ingredients and directions.
Note If you choose "grams" as the recipe's units via the selector, it is measured by the weight of the uncooked ingredients. Ingredients like rice and pasta alter the final cooked weight significantly.
There are a ton of things to customize in the options menu. You can change the foods you want, your nutrition targets, and even your maximum food budget.
Add a specific food using the food bank. You can search existing dishes or make your own, and then drag them into your meal plan. As a subscriber, you can even have the generator use your custom recipes (otherwise, you need to add them manually).
This is especially useful if you don't follow the plan exactly. Add what you did eat manually, lock it, and use the refresh buttons to "autocomplete" your diet
The generator will try to meet all of your goals, but sometimes it may violate one limit (like budget) in favor of meeting another (like minimum protein). Double check the results before following any diet.
