  1. Cook the gnocchi in a large saucepan of salted boiling water according to package directions until tender. Drain.
  2. Meanwhile, heat 1/3 of the butter in a frying pan over medium heat until foaming. Add the mushrooms and garlic, and cook, stirring, for 5 minutes or until softened. Transfer to a heatproof bowl. Discard the garlic.
  3. Wipe the frying pan clean with a paper towel. Heat the remaining butter in the pan over medium heat until foaming. Add the gnocchi and cook, stirring, for 5-8 minutes or until golden brown.
  4. Return the mushroom mixture to the pan with the gnocchi. Cook, stirring, for 1-2 minutes or until heated through.
  5. Divide the gnocchi mixture among serving bowls. Serve.
