Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Cut about 1/4 of the tops off of peppers and remove seeds. Place the bottoms of the peppers in the oven.
  2. In a frying pan over medium heat, add onions, chopped pepper tops, garlic, and butter. Cook until soft.
  3. Add shaved steak to the pan, season with salt and pepper, and cook through, chopping up with your spatula.
  4. Remove peppers from the oven when soft but still hold shape. Add a slice of cheese inside each, then mix another slice of cheese into the steak until melted.
  5. Stir mayonnaise into the steak mixture, then spoon into the pepper shells. Top each with a piece of cheese.
  6. Return peppers to the oven for about 5 minutes or until the cheese on top is melted to your liking.
