Ingredients
Directions
- Put your quartered radishes into a pot to boil for approximately 5-10 minutes depending on how soft you want your radishes. At the same time get your bacon frying, it’s time to multitask. (Once the bacon is finished set it aside on a paper towel to cool, you are going to fry the radishes in the leftover bacon grease.)
- Drain your radishes and try to remove as much water as possible! Your’e going to be adding these babies into hot grease, when water is added to grease it likes to pop.
- Carefully add your radishes to the already hot pan. Season to taste (I prefer spicy). Let them cook for about 7-15 minutes, stirring occasionally. The cook time really depends on your preference (the longer they cook the more they absorb the flavor from the bacon drippings).
- Plate and add whatever toppings you want! My favorite way to enjoy these fried radishes is to set them on a bed of cheddar (the heat from the fresh cooked radishes helps melt the cheese) and top it with sour cream, hot sauce, green onion & the bacon you cooked at the beginning.
