- Begin by mixing ground beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mix well to combine, then divide the meat into 3 roughly equal size pieces and push down so they are about 1/2-inch thick.

Once patties are almost done cooking, place 1 thin slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty and add the buns, middle facing down, allowing it to toast for 30-60 seconds.
