Mealime Is Shutting Down. Bring Your Recipes With You.
On October 21, Albertsons is closing Mealime and deleting every account, along with your saved recipes, meal plans, and grocery lists. Move your favorites to Eat This Much in a few taps.

Move your Mealime recipes from your phone
Get the Eat This Much app
Download it for iPhone or Android and create your free account.
Share a recipe from Mealime
Open a recipe in Mealime, tap ••• and then Share, and choose Import recipe with Eat This Much. After October 21, share it from Meals Hub in the Albertsons or Safeway app instead.
Check it and save
We bring in the photo, ingredients, and directions and calculate the nutrition. Check the details, then tap Save.
Don't see Import recipe with Eat This Much? Tap Edit Actions at the bottom of the share sheet and turn it on, or copy the recipe's link and paste it into the Eat This Much app.
Do this before October 21. That's when Albertsons deletes your saved recipes list and any recipes you created yourself. Start with the recipes you actually cook, each one only takes a few seconds.
Prefer to use a computer?
Install the free Recipe Clipper for Chrome, Edge, Brave, or Firefox. Open any recipe on mealime.com and click the Recipe Clipper in your browser's toolbar. The recipe opens in Eat This Much, photo included, ready for you to check and save.

Recipes you added to Mealime yourself
Share them to Eat This Much the same way. Do these first: they only exist in your Mealime account, so they're deleted on October 21 and won't be in Meals Hub. If you first imported one from another website, you can also import it from that website.
What's happening to Mealime?
Mealime is shutting down on October 21, 2026. Its owner, Albertsons Companies, is moving Mealime's recipes into Meals Hub, a meal planning section inside Albertsons grocery apps like Safeway, Vons, and Jewel-Osco.
- Your account doesn't move with it. Albertsons will delete all personal data when Mealime shuts down, including your saved recipes, meal plans, and grocery lists. There's no way to export them.
- You'd start over in a grocery store's app. Meals Hub lives inside a supermarket's app, and you'll need to set up your preferences again there.
- Mealime's recipes are still available. You'll find them in Meals Hub, and you can share them from there to Eat This Much, even after October 21.
If you'd rather keep planning in an app that isn't tied to one grocery chain, Eat This Much does the same weekly job and works with any store.

Questions about leaving Mealime
When is Mealime shutting down?
Mealime shuts down on October 21, 2026. After that, the app stops working and Albertsons, which owns Mealime, deletes all personal data, including saved recipes, meal plans, and grocery lists.
Can I export my recipes from Mealime?
Mealime doesn't have a built-in exporter, but you can import your Mealime recipes into Eat This Much with our recipe importer. It reads each recipe's link, brings in the ingredients and directions, and calculates the nutrition.
How do I move my Mealime recipes to Eat This Much?
Install the Eat This Much app, open a recipe in Mealime, tap ••• and then Share, and choose Import recipe with Eat This Much. We bring in the photo, ingredients, and directions and calculate the nutrition. Check the details, then tap Save. On a computer, use the Recipe Clipper on mealime.com instead.
Will my Mealime recipe links still work after October 21?
Mealime hasn't said what will happen to its recipe pages. Its recipes are moving to Meals Hub, though, so you can find a recipe there in the Albertsons or Safeway app, tap Share, and choose Eat This Much. Your saved recipes list and any recipes you created yourself are deleted on October 21, so import those first.
Can I import recipes I added to Mealime myself?
Yes. Share them to Eat This Much the same way as any other Mealime recipe, before October 21. Your own recipes are deleted with your account and won't be in Meals Hub. If you first imported one from another website, you can also import it from that website.
What is Meals Hub, and do I have to use it?
Meals Hub is the meal planning section inside Albertsons grocery apps, such as Safeway, Vons, and Jewel-Osco. Mealime's recipes are moving there, but your saved recipes, meal plans, and settings aren't. You can share recipes from Meals Hub to Eat This Much, but you don't have to use it. Any meal planner, including Eat This Much, can take Mealime's place.
Is Eat This Much free?
Yes. Importing recipes, generating daily meal plans, and tracking what you eat are free. Planning a whole week at a time and automatic grocery lists need Premium. See our free and Premium features for the full comparison.
Does Eat This Much make a grocery list like Mealime?

Can Eat This Much plan meals to a Calorie or macro target?
Yes. Set your Calorie, protein, carb, and fat targets and every plan is built to fit them. If you need a starting point, our Calorie calculator can estimate one.
