  1. Brown the meat and onions in a pot on the lard. Add the paprika powder and cover with water/broth depending on how juicy you want the stew in the end, but there's enough juice from the meat to not require anything added. Let simmer for 2-3 hours, then add the garlic, salt and marjoram. Anything else can be added to your taste, but then it's no goulash anymore :)
