  1. In a casserole on hob, brown beef and set to the side. Finely dice onions, add to pan and soften. Stir in tomato paste and curry paste and heat through until spices are fragrant. Return meat, add water and braise for at least 3 hours topping up water and skimming excess fat as necessary and ensuring that nothing sticks. Add sliced potatoes 10-15 mins before complete. Serve with rice.
