Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Place chicken thighs in a baking pan with a lid (or cover with foil), season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Add water to just about cover the chicken. Cover and cook for 2 hours.
- While chicken is cooking, fry 4 slices of bacon until crisp. In the same pan, fry the broccoli in bacon grease, breaking it up as much as possible with a spatula.
- When chicken is done and cooled, shred and transfer to a pot. Add the broccoli and bacon, mix over medium heat. Stir in cheese, heavy cream, and broth, heating until the stew thickens.
