Ingredients

  • Egg

    Whole, fresh eggs

    4 large or 200g

  • Wheat flour

    White, all-purpose, enriched, unbleached

    ½ cup or 63g

  • Water

    Plain, clean water

    1 cup or 237g

  • Pam cooking spray

    Oil, original

    3 spray , about 1/3 second or 0.9g

  • Applesauce

    Unsweetened, without added ascorbic acid, canned

    1 ½ cup or 366g

Directions

  1. Start heating a pan (preferably nonstick) on medium heat.
  2. Put the 1/2 cup of flour into a mixing bowl (I personally use a Pyrex measuring cup), add water and stir until the flour stops sticking all together. (Does not have to be smooth by any means)
  3. Break the 4 full eggs into the mixing bowl and beat until mostly smooth.
  4. (Optional if you have a non stick pan) Lightly oil the pan (I prefer to use a spray can)
  5. Pour a bit of water onto the pan, if the water immediately sizzles the pan is hot enough to start cooking
  6. Pour about a third of the batter into the pan and swirl it around until it covers the entire bottom. It’s supposed to be pretty thin.
  7. When the bottom of the pancake becomes solid, flip it.
  8. When slightly golden brown on each side, remove from pan and serve with apple sauce.
