  1. Put the liver in a bowl and pour the milk over top. Let it soak for 30 minutes. Remove, rinse off and pat dry with a paper towel. Season with salt and pepper. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the butter, followed by the onions and asparagus. Cook until soft and then add the liver. Cook until the liver is browned on both sides, and cook until done to your liking, being careful not to overcook. Serve with the vegetables.
