Directions

  1. Allow meat to reach room temperature.
  2. Heat cast iron skillet to medium-high heat.
  3. Use fork to poke several holes in both sides of steak.
  4. Season well with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
  5. Add a drop of olive oil to each side after seasoning and then rub seasoning into meat.
  6. Cook meat in slightly oiled pan, flipping once or twice to an internal temperature of 110°F and remove from heat. This is for a medium rare cook.
  7. Allow meat to rest for 5-7 minutes. The internal temp will continue to rise and cook the steak.
  8. Plate and serve.
