- Cover eggs in cold water in a medium sized pot. Bring to a rolling boil. Remove from heat, cover, and set a timer for 15 minutes.
 - While eggs finish cooking, combine all remaining ingredients, except relish and paprika. Chop relish into a finer mince, then add to other ingredients.
 - When 15 minutes are up, place pot of hot water and eggs in sink and stream cold tap water into the pot, flushing out the hot water and replacing with cold water. Do this until only cold water is in the pot, and eggs are cool to the touch.
 - Peel eggs. It is helpful to do this under running water.
 - Halve eggs, and pop yolks into bowl of filling. Whisk ingredients together, or use a fork to mash, until everything is a smooth consistency (except, of course, your relish).
 - Pipe or spoon filling back into egg whites. Sprinkle with smoked paprika and serve.
