Ingredients

    Raw, cured pork

    Commercially prepared (includes soft bread crumbs)

Directions

  1. Place bacon in a cold pan over medium heat and cook until desired crispiness is reached.
  2. Lightly toast the bread and cut a hole in the center.
  3. Heat a skillet on medium-low and melt butter until just bubbly. Place the toast and cutout in the skillet, turning to coat both sides.
  4. Break the egg into the center of the hole and cover with a lid. Cook until the egg white is more than half set.
  5. Flip the toast and egg for an over-easy egg, or continue cooking with the lid on for sunny side up.
  6. Remove to a plate and serve with bacon and toasted cut-out. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
