  1. Drain the tofu using a tofu press or between paper towels until most of the water has been squeezed out.
  2. Thinly slice the onion and slice the tofu into 1/4-inch thick slices.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet and fry the tofu slices until golden brown on both sides.
  4. Add the thinly sliced onion and cook for a few minutes until the onion reaches your desired consistency.
  5. Pour in the barbecue sauce and cook the mixture on low for ten minutes.
  6. Serve the tofu mixture on buns and enjoy!
