  1. Roughly chop the cabbage, onion, and bacon. In a large cast iron skillet over medium-high heat, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add the bacon and cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Add the onion and cook until the onion is caramelized and the bacon is crispy.
  2. In a second pan over medium-high heat, heat the remaining olive oil. Add the cabbage and cook until soft. Meanwhile, add the garlic and pine nuts to the bacon-onion mixture.
  3. Once the cabbage is cooked to your desired texture, add it to the bacon-onion pan. Mix in the pasta sauce and heat through. Season with fresh pepper to taste and serve hot.
