- In a wok or a large skillet, heat oil. When oil is hot add ginger, carrots and cabbage. Stir a bit, add black pepper and saute for a few minutes. Add shrimp, cook until shrimp turns pink. Push mixture to one side of the skillet. Increase the heat to high, add a little butter to the empty side of the pan, add whisked egg and scramble them. Lower to medium-high, and mix together. Add rice, remaining butter, salt and basil leaves. Saute until incorporated and butter is melted. Serve.

- Would like to try less rice next time. wasn’t salty enough everyone added salt, also would like more buttery flavor maybe swap out a tbsp of oil for butter. Excited to make it with fresh herbs and ginger next time as well.
