  1. In a wok or a large skillet, heat oil. When oil is hot add ginger, carrots and cabbage. Stir a bit, add black pepper and saute for a few minutes. Add shrimp, cook until shrimp turns pink. Push mixture to one side of the skillet. Increase the heat to high, add a little butter to the empty side of the pan, add whisked egg and scramble them. Lower to medium-high, and mix together. Add rice, remaining butter, salt and basil leaves. Saute until incorporated and butter is melted. Serve.

  3. Would like to try less rice next time. wasn’t salty enough everyone added salt, also would like more buttery flavor maybe swap out a tbsp of oil for butter. Excited to make it with fresh herbs and ginger next time as well.
