Directions

  1. if the leaves fresh, boil them for a minute or so to turn their color into dark green (don't boil all of them at the same time)
  2. Mix The Ground Beef With The Uncooked Rice and add some salt and pepper
  3. spread the grape leaves on the table and add some of the mixture
  4. Roll the grape leaves carefully
  5. put the rolled grape leaves in the cooking bowl and put an empty plate (or any other clean and flat item) on the top of the rolled grape leaves to prevent them from floating
  6. Add water
  7. squeeze 1 lemon in the bowl
  8. Add 1 or 2 full pieces of garlic
  9. add a little bit of salt (optional)
  10. cover and bring to boil then steam for 45 - 60 minutes (take out one roll and try it)
  11. remove the rolls from the hot soup to not crumble
  12. when serving, warm up the leaves and the soup and serve them together
