Directions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Shape into 6 patties.
  2. Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add oil. When hot add the ground beef patties.
  3. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes per side. Turn heat down to medium if they are browning too quickly.Remove from pan and set aside.
  4. You want about 2 tablespoons of grease in the pan. If you have more than that, pour the extra off. If you have less than 2 tablespoons, you'll use an extra tablespoon of butter to make up for it.
  5. Add the butter to the skillet and melt it over medium heat.
  6. Add the flour. Cook and stir for 1 minute.
  7. Gradually whisk in the milk . Bring to a simmer and add the garlic powder, onion powder and salt and pepper to taste.Simmer 2 to 3 minutes to thicken. Spoon gravy over hamburger steak to serve.
