  1. Whisk maple syrup, soy sauce, and adobo sauce in a dish large enough for salmon.
  2. Add salmon, turn to coat, and let marinate for 30 minutes, turning occasionally.
  3. Drain marinade into a small saucepan.
  4. Heat a heavy nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add salmon and cook until slightly charred outside and just opaque in the center, about 3 minutes per side.
  5. Meanwhile, boil marinade until reduced to a scant 1/4 cup sauce (for original 4 serving recipe), about 4 minutes.
  6. Divide salmon between plates, drizzle with sauce, and serve.
