- preheat oven to 400°F
- line cookie sheet with tin foil
- break one English muffin apart
- lightly toast English muffin
- once toasted layer each half of one muffin with pizza sauce, half of the basil, pepperoni, and mozzarella cheese in that order
- place in preheated oven until crisp and cheese is melted
- remove from oven and if desired top with sliced cherry tomatoes and the rest of the basil
- serve and enjoy
