Ingredients

Directions

  1. Select the browning function and add half of the butter and olive oil to the pressure cooker. Once the butter has melted, add the onion, thyme, oregano, salt, and pepper. Stir occasionally until the onion softens, then add the carrot and celery.
  2. Push the contents to the side of the cooker. Add the beef and garlic, stirring to break up the meat. Sauté until the beef is browned on one side and the juices evaporate, about 5 minutes. Add the crushed tomatoes.
  3. Close and lock the lid of the pressure cooker. Cook on high pressure for 18 minutes. Turn off the cooker and use a quick pressure release. Once the valve drops, carefully remove the lid. Remove herb stems and stir in the remaining butter until melted.
  4. Add salt and lasagna noodles to the sauce in the pot. Pour in about 1 cup of water to cover the pasta. Ensure the pasta is submerged.
  5. Close and lock the lid of the pressure cooker. Cook on low pressure for 5 minutes, or half the cooking time indicated on the pasta package.
  6. Turn off the cooker and use a quick pressure release. Once the valve drops, remove the lid. If needed, cook on simmer until the noodles are tender.
  7. Transfer the lasagna to a large serving dish. Dollop with ricotta and sprinkle mozzarella over the top. Stir and let stand uncovered for 2 minutes before serving.
