  1. Crush caraway seeds.
  2. Preheat your oven broiler. Line the rack of a broiler pan with foil and lightly coat with oil.
  3. Pat the salmon dry and place it, skin side down, on the pan. Season with half of the salt.
  4. Mince and mash garlic to a paste with a pinch of salt, then stir together with mustard, honey, vinegar, caraway seeds, and pepper.
  5. Spread the mustard mixture evenly on top of the salmon, then broil 5 to 6 inches from heat until just cooked through, 12 to 15 minutes.
  6. Transfer the salmon to a platter and serve.
