  1. Chop the onions and dice the red bell pepper.
  2. In a large bowl, sift together the flour, salt, and white pepper. Drain the ackee and set aside.
  3. Add the chopped onions, diced red peppers, crushed ackee, and hot pepper sauce to the bowl. Mix well.
  4. Mix in the beaten egg and gradually add milk to form a batter that drops easily from a spoon.
  5. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet. Drop batter by tablespoonfuls and fry for 5 minutes, turning once, until golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper.
