  1. Bring a large pot of well-salted water to a rolling boil.
  2. Add the whole wheat pasta and cook until al dente, about 8–10 minutes or per package directions.
  3. During the last 3 minutes of pasta cooking, add the chopped broccoli to blanch with the pasta.
  4. Reserve about 1/2 cup of the cooking water. Drain the pasta and broccoli, then return them to the pot over low heat.
  5. Stir in the Alfredo sauce, loosening with splashes of the reserved cooking water as needed until the sauce coats the pasta silkily.
  6. Season with garlic powder, nutmeg, black pepper, and a pinch of salt to taste. Warm, stirring, until everything is hot and the sauce clings to the pasta.
  7. Serve immediately and finish with shredded Parmesan on top.
