  1. Heat the olive oil in a large deep nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the ground chicken and cook, breaking it into small pieces, until browned and cooked through, 8–10 minutes. Transfer to a bowl and set aside.
  3. Add the chopped onion, carrot, and celery to the skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, until softened, 5–6 minutes.
  4. Stir in the minced garlic, chili powder, cumin, paprika, and salt and pepper to taste. Cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  5. Stir in the white beans, refried beans, water, and chicken broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. Stir in the hot sauce and return the cooked chicken to the skillet. Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, until thickened and flavors meld, 25–30 minutes.
