  1. Bring a large pot of well-salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook until al dente according to package directions. Reserve a small amount of the pasta water, then drain.
  2. While the pasta cooks, melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook just until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Pat the shrimp dry, then season with the salt and black pepper. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook 2–3 minutes per side, until pink and opaque.
  4. Add the drained pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the garlic butter. If the mixture seems dry, add a splash of reserved pasta water to loosen and gloss the sauce.
