  1. Heat a large soup pot over medium-high heat, and crumble in the ground beef, onion and garlic. Cook and stir until the beef is evenly browned and no longer pink.
  2. Stir in the Vegetables. Pour in Tomato paste, water, broth, and Worcester sauce. Season with bay leaf, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and cover; simmer for 30 minutes, stirring frequently. Remove bay leaf before serving.
