  1. Pat the tilapia fillets dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  2. Season both sides of the fillets with salt and black pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil and half of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Once the butter has melted and the pan is hot, add the tilapia fillets to the skillet.
  5. Cook the fillets for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the fish is golden brown and flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Remove the fillets from the skillet and set aside.
  7. Add the remaining butter to the skillet and let it melt.
