  1. Tear the lettuce leaves coarsely and slice the radicchio into thick pieces.
  2. In a medium nonstick skillet, combine walnuts, brown sugar, 2 teaspoons of walnut oil, and 1 tablespoon of rice wine vinegar. Stir over medium heat until the syrup thickly coats the nuts, about 2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, then transfer the nuts to a piece of foil, separate them, and freeze for 5 minutes or let cool completely at room temperature.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk the remaining walnut oil, 2 1/2 tablespoons of rice wine vinegar, and garlic. Season the dressing with salt and pepper. Add the lettuce, radicchio, green beans, and candied walnuts; toss to coat.
