  1. Wash the rice nicely. and drain the water. Heat butter in a pan. Once the butter is hot, add rice and saute it for a minute. Add water, saffron and salt to taste. Cover the pan and cook on low heat for 15-20 minutes until the liquid is absorbed and the rice is cooked. Remove the pan from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes. Fluff the rice gently with a fork.
