Ingredients

Directions

  1. Roughly chop the cabbage, onion, and bacon.
  2. Heat half of the olive oil in a large cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add the bacon and cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Add the onion and cook until the onion is caramelized and the bacon is crispy, about 5 more minutes. Add the garlic and pine nuts.
  3. Heat the remaining olive oil in a second pan over medium-high heat. Add the cabbage and cook until soft. Meanwhile, add the garlic and pine nuts to the bacon-onion mixture.
  4. Once the cabbage is cooked to your desired texture, add it to the pan with the bacon and onions. Mix in the pasta sauce and heat through.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve hot.
