Directions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté the chopped onions until translucent, then add the minced garlic and stir well.
  2. Add the tilapia to the skillet and cook until the flesh starts to flake. Add the chopped jalapeño peppers, tomatoes, cilantro, and lime juice.
  3. Sauté over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes, breaking up the fish with a spoon to mix well. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Heat the tortillas on a skillet for a few minutes on each side until warm (no oil needed). Serve each tortilla with a little over 1/4 cup of the fish mixture and a slice or two of avocado.
